Community Living York South (CLYS) provides services to children, youth, adults and seniors who have an intellectual disability and live in the southern York region. We as a community, strive to promote social inclusion, individual choice, independence and rights while, continuing to be respectful of social, linguistic and cultural diversity. The CLYS staff speaks 10 different languages which allows all communities to feel welcome and comfortable within the environment. Through our supportive living services, we currently support approximately 300 people in community participation activities. Our daytime support teams facilitate meaningful community-based activities for adults that encourage choice, independent and inclusive engagement in local communities. We believe in a society where everyone belongs and our mission is to empower people who have an intellectual disability to live, learn, work and participate in the community.

In order to be considered for employment with Community Living York South, you must meet the following requirements:
- A successful Vulnerable Sector Police Check dated within the last 3 months
- A combination of relevant education, training and experience may also be considered
- Operate own vehicle with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance with a valid “G” driver’s license and their own vehicle.
- Current First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certifications is considered an asset
- Knowledge of Personal Outcomes and positive behaviour support plans is preferred
